Peak District and Derbyshire wedding venues

I might be biased, living on the edge of the Peak District, but this national park provides setting for a wedding in central or North West England. Surrounded by nature and dramatic views, this part of the world has a lot to offer. And did you know that the area has had light pollution restricted which provides dark skies for stargazing on clear nights.

So here's my top picks for Peak District and Derbyshire weddings in this area of outstanding beauty.

  • Dunston Hall, Chesterfield. A lovingly restored country house with lots of character a beautiful garden room for ceremonies.

  • Foxtail Barns, at The Tawny, Ashbourne. Nestled in the Basford Estate, the valley contains many surprises from the walled garden to the many follys and woodland nooks. There's also amazing woodland huts and lakeside treehouses to relax and start your honeymoon.

  • Grangefields, Ashbourne. Experience a characterful ceremony barn and spacious courtyard on the Trusley Estate. The team's service and attention to detail will blow you away.

  • The Merchants Yard, Tideswell. Perfect for a small, intimate wedding. A relaxed venue perfect for foodies, with its award winning restaurant.

  • The Riding School, Ticknall. An elegant venue with a trendy reception space set amongst the manicured gardens of the Calke Abbey. Church ceremonies can be organised in the on-site chapel, and whilst you can't get married in the glasshouse it's an amazing spot for photos.

  • Torr Vale Mill, New Mills. A former cotton mill on the banks of the river Goyt, this industrial backdrop is a very cool setting for both indoor and outdoor ceremonies.

  • Tissington Hall, Tissington. 17th century mansion strikes the perfect balance between a grand setting and relaxed sophistication. My favourite spot for pictures has to be the stunning rose garden.

  • The Upper House, High Peak. This distinctive 15th century medieval estate nestled in 30 acres of woodland, provides a historic backdrop for ceremonies.

  • Wildhive, at Callow Hall, Ashbourne. An elegant victorian country house nestled in woodland where you can spend your wedding night in one of the wild hive treehouses in the ancient woodland.

Designing florals for weddings in the Peak District absolutely aligns with my environmentally friendly ethos, being able to supply locally grown seasonal flowers for couple's special days. I always love to invite couples to the flower farm to see where the flowers are grown - so get in touch if you are planning your wedding - just book a consultation directly through the website.
